Next Fixtures! - On Saturday the 6th of February, we play a Cup fixture against Coronation FC. The pitch address is: Gresham Sports Pavilion, Gresham Park Road, off Wilford Lane, West Bridgford, NG2 7YF. This is a 2pm kick off, so please be there by 1pm at the latest. This is on the 3G Astro pitch, so please bring appropriate footwear. The squad for this match will be: Michael H, John T(c), Saddam A, Chris P, Jack O’S, Adam G, Josh H, Joe Y, Aaron C, Adam L, Steve Mc, Casimir B, Dan B and Mark T.

Latest Results! - Another Win Against Chilwell Boosts Our Promotion Hopes! - On Saturday the 30th of January we played Chilwell Villa FC. Due to injury and absence we fielded a side with 6 changes from the previous match, with Chris P, Omar M, Sean G, Alex C, Aqeel G and Rob M all coming into the team. Making tactical changes for this match we went with a 4-3-3 to maximise our attacking potential, which was very effective as we took the lead through Sean G, before Lee Mc added another to make it 2-0. At half time we stressed the need for a 3rd goal to kill the game and 30 seconds into the re-start Mark Th made it 3-0, before a superb Chilwell free kick grabbed a goal for the visitors. We replied straight away through captain and man-of-the-match John T who scored a sublime goal to make it 4-1. Then Chilwell lobbed the keeper to make it 4-2 and we replied through Mark Th who scored again to make it 20 for the season, before John T’s shot rattled the bar and club stalwart Chris P fired home to finish the match 6-2.

On Sunday the 7th of February we play Lion Revived FC. The pitch address is: Gresham Sports Pavilion, Gresham Park Road, off Wilford Lane, West Bridgford, NG2 7YF. This is a 10:30am kick off, so please be there by 9:30am at the latest. This is on the 3G Astro pitch, so please bring appropriate footwear. The squad for this match will be: Che P, Michael H, Carl B, Tullah K, Dave Mo, John T, Alex C, Sean C, Joe Y, Max E, Mike Tu, Andrew H and Jack O’S.

Wednesday Powerleague News! - Notts Utd Stay Top! - On Wednesday the 3rd January recorded a 10-0 victory to carry on our good start to the season with a win to make it 2 wins from 2. You can read the detailed weekly match reports on the 5-a-Side page.

3 Promotions On The Bounce! - Congrats To The Powerleague Team! - The Club would like to congratulate all members of the Powerleague team on securing their 3rd promotion in the last 3 seasons. Considering we took over the team from league strugglers beeston biz who were bottom of the league on a –100 goal difference, under the guidance of Andy G and Yas R the team has gone from Division 6 to Division 3 in 3 seasons and started the new campaign off with a convincing win over the title favourites, so another promotion already looks likely!

Bulgaria Tour 2010 Confirmed! - We are pleased to announce that we have arranged a club tour to Bulgaria from the 13th of August to the 21st of August. All club members are welcome, plus any newcomers that may wish to join us with us. We currently have 14 people who have booked their flights and are likely to limit numbers to 22 players. The accommodation will be arranged by the club and more detailed info regarding full events/fixtures on the tour can be found on our Nottingham United FC Facebook group. If you aren’t on Facebook and are interested in the trip, please see a committee member at training or call/txt Mark on 07920063239 for more details.

We will have use of a team bus with driver during our tour and will take several trips to famous landmarks during our time there, combined with 11-a-side matches against FC Lulin(3rd Division team), FC Septemvri and the highlight of the trip, a match against CSKA Sofia U17’s team. We also have several 6-a-side matches arranged, including games against FC Chichovtzi and Lozenec City who are the Bulgarian national 6-a-side champions and runners-up. Thanks to our links with one of Bulgaria’s top football agencies, this trip has received a lot of publicity over there and our matches will be filmed by a local cable TV company, so this promises to be something very different and not to be missed! More events and possibly 1 more 11-a-side fixture are likely to be added to the tour in the coming weeks.
